THE GENERAL INSURANCE REVIEWS

Most of us know General Insurance Services through their commercials featuring a cartoon character called "The General". Well something I didn't know was that in one form or another General Automobile Insurance Services has been around since 1963.

An effective way to find the perfect insurance company is to browse through several reviews. We suggest you also check out AAA Insurance Reviews as it is currently very popular. Other includes Esurance Insurance Reviews or even Progressive Insurance Reviews.

The General promotes itself as offering economical vehicle insurance to those of us who have less than perfect driving records and maybe less than perfect credit. And, let's face it, in today's economy everyday more and more of us are having a hard time making ends meet so any help we can get is appreciated.

The General is a place for the drivers who are listed in the "High risk" category and other insurance companies won't even talk to. If you have had your license suspended or revoked the state may require you to submit an SR-22 form before issuing you a new license. An SR-22 is a form verifying that you have the state minimum insurance and are financially responsible in case of an accident. The General can issue a proof of filing within minutes of you purchasing a policy online.

Vehicle insurance with the General seems easy to get. As they say, within 2 minutes you can fill out and get an online quote, purchase a policy and print out proof of insurance right on your computer. It can't get much easier than that!

The General has partnered with most of the main insurance carriers out there. When you click on their online quote tool don't be surprised when another companies name like Progressive or GEICO pops up. The General is just directing you to one of their partner sites based on your needs.

One of their main selling points is they offer to insure you with only a $59 down payment. While this is true and very affordable you have to realize that not everyone qualifies for that down payment. If you have a questionable driving record it only makes sense your down payment would be a little higher than someone with a clean record. The risk is higher therefore the charge may be higher. One thing to consider is mostly no matter what your record the General will still give you insurance when other companies won't.
